David Ramsey
David Ramsey is a contributing editor for the Oxford American and the Arkansas Times. His work has appeared in The New Republic, The Paris Review, Slate, Men’s Journal, The National, Kaiser Health News, and elsewhere. For magazine stories, he has cold-called Little Richard and played against the world’s best Pac-Man player (he lost, badly). Formerly a Capitol beat reporter in Little Rock, Arkansas, he was named to the Washington Post‘s 2015 list of best state political reporters; Politico wrote that his Medicaid expansion coverage “set the tone of a national conversation.” Ramsey’s work has been anthologized in Da Capo Best Music Writing, Best Food Writing, Cornbread Nation: The Best of Southern Food Writing, and the Norton Field Guide to Writing. He lives in Jersey City with his wife and daughter.
