Kristin Ohlson
Kristin Ohlson writes on topics ranging from proton decay to the pleasures of getting lost in Afghanistan. She has been published in The New York Times, Salon, Smithsonian, Discover, New Scientist, Gourmet, Oprah, and other print and online publications. Her magazine work has been anthologized in Salon’s “Life As We Know It,” “Best American Travel Writing 2008,” and “Best American Science Writing 2011.” Ohlson is the author of “The Soil Will Save Us: How Scientists, Farmers and Foodies are Healing the Soil to Save the Planet,” (Rodale, 2014), which was a finalist for the Oregon Book Award. Her latest book is “Sweet in Tooth and Claw: Stories of Generosity and Cooperation in Nature” (Patagonia, 2022).
