Chinwe Oniah
Chinwe Oniah is a multimedia producer and arts educator based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Her work explores cultural identity, music, and the preservation of artistic and community traditions, with a focus on Afro-Brazilian arts and diasporic cultural traditions. Through film, education, and community programming, she creates projects that connect storytelling, performance, and cultural history. She has written for KQED, California Magazine, and Blavity, and has produced and directed short documentaries for KQED. She’s also a teaching artist with Destiny Art Center in Oakland, and manages Capoeira Bay Area.
